KARACHI: The government has urged parents to get their children vaccinated against 12 deadly diseases during the World Immunization Week being marked throughout the country like elsewhere in the world.
The federal as well as provincial governments have appealed for getting all children under two years of age immunised against these preventable diseases during the ongoing drive.
World Immunization Week aims to highlight the collective action needed to protect people from vaccine-preventable diseases.
The World Health Organization (WHO), under the theme of ‘The Big Catch-Up’, is working with partners world over to accelerate immunisation to ensure more people are protected from preventable diseases.
