THANE: Indian police have recently captured a total of 645 bear claws and teeth during a raid at a food outlet in a Thane district in Maharashtra's, an official said.
The police's central crime unit raided the premises in Ulhasnagar town and seized the animal teeth and claws.
Under the Wildlife Protection Act provisions, an offence was registered against the premises owner. However, no arrest has been made so far.
The senior official said that the police were trying to find out who kept the animal body parts on the premises and to whom they were sold.
