KARACHI: The two resident trainees from the Department of Operative Dentistry, Hamdard College of Medicine and Dentistry (HCMD), recently cleared their FCPS II exam.
HCMD achieved a unique achievement after their two trainees, Dr Masooma Zehra Alizai and Dr Shafaq Sarim, cleared their FCPS 2 in this session.
Dr Masooma Zehra Alizai graduated (BDS) from Bolan Medical College in 2009. She cleared FCPS I in 2016 and was fortunate enough to enrol for FCPS-II training the same year (2016). She cleared FCPS-II in March 2022 on the first attempt.
Dr Shafaq Sarim completed her Bachelors of Dental Surgery from Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health and Sciences, Dow University of Health Sciences, in 2012. She cleared her FCPS Part 1 in the first attempt in 2015. She cleared IMM and Part II theory in her first attempt and FCPS II in March 2022.
Dr Masooma and Dr Shafaq worked under the supervision of Prof. Dr Syed Abrar Ali, Head of Operative Dentistry Department, HCMD. Dr Imran, Principal of Hamdard Dental College, appreciated the efforts of the department and Prof. Dr Abrar on this outstanding achievement.
