KARACHI: Dr. Syed Karamullah Shah Bukhari passed away on July 26, 2024, due to severe heat stroke despite best efforts by doctors.
He was provided urgent medical treatment and was put on a ventilator, but his condition did not improve, and he succumbed to heat stroke after a brief struggle at the Civil Hospital Sukkur Medical ICU.
He was laid to rest at the Musa Shaheed Graveyard in Kiri Nawab Khan, Shikarpur.
Dr. Bukhari, a graduate of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), was also a left-arm fast bowler and a member of LMC’s Dental College Cricket Team.
Known for his gentle nature and resilience, his loss is deeply felt by the dental community and all who knew him.
His family acknowledges the efforts by Sindh Rescue 1122 and the ICU team at Civil Hospital Sukkur to save Dr Bukahri’s life, which failed to avert the tragedy.
They, however, stress the need to upgrade and repair the CT scan and other imaging equipment at the hospital to prevent future tragedies.
