KARACHI- In the way of its tradition, Hamdard University dental section organized annual farewell dinner recently at the HUDH. The annual function is always well attended function and this year again it was graced by Hamdard University Chancellor, Sadia Rashid, Vice Chancellor Hamdard University Prof. Hakim Abdul Hannan and Head of Dental Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mervyn Hussein. After the welcome address by Dr S. Abrar the Hamdard University Chancellor, Sadia Rashid, Vice Chancellor Hamdard University Prof. Hakim Abdul Hannan and Head of Dental Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mervyn Hussein spoke on the occasion. The colorful evening was opened by senior faculty and it provided a gateway to final year students to prove their talents with skits, songs, comedy shows, titles, dances and much more. Singers and comedians were also invited to add colour to the event. The main attraction of the traditional annual dinners were the titles which the 3rd year students give to final year students and titles by final year students to faculty members. Another appealing part of annual dinners were the awards for faculty members as token of appreciation by final year students. These were in the form of best Head of departments, best lecturers and dental assistants in both male and female category. Lastly, the chief organizer Prof Dr Tahir Ali gave a vote of thanks which was followed by dinner.
