LAHORE: The Research and Ethical Review Committee of Lahore Medical and Dental College (LMDC) recently organised a two-day workshop on ‘Research Methodology’. It was attended by house officers and postgraduate trainees from the clinical departments.
Prof. Dr Nazli Shujaat, Chairperson Committee and Head of Community & Preventive Dentistry Department, LMDC, facilitated the two-day event and lectures. Dr Usman Ashraf Malhi, PhD in Dental Materials from Hong Kong University, conducted the workshop. Prof. Dr Aqib Sohail, Principal and Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, LMDC, was also invited to attend the workshop.
The workshop aimed to help the participants choose study designs and introduce them to different sampling methods. They were given multiple research scenarios and encouraged to engage in healthy discussions with the committee members.
Prof. Dr Aqib applauded the efforts of Prof. Dr Nazli Shujaat on conducting a successful event and encouraged the participants to undertake new research projects. At the end of the workshop, Dr Aqib distributed the certificates amongst the participants.
