MDCAT retake conducted for aspiring medical students

ISLAMABAD: The Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) today successfully conducted the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) retake, following directives from the Islamabad High Court.
The examination was held across 27 centers, including two international venues in Dubai and Riyadh, and 25 locations within Pakistan such as Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gilgit Baltistan, Rawalakot, Muzaffarabad, and Mirpur. Over 12,000 candidates participated, with approximately 60 in Dubai, 64 in Riyadh, 211 in Rawalpindi, 10,428 in Islamabad, 329 in Gilgit Baltistan, 400 in Rawalakot, 447 in Muzaffarabad, and 629 in Mirpur.
SZABMU, with technical support from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), implemented measures such as biometric verification, real-time monitoring, and stringent invigilation to ensure the examination's integrity. PMDC President Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj personally oversaw the process in Islamabad, with PMDC officers monitoring other centers.
The PMDC has assured stakeholders that results will be processed and announced promptly, with details to be communicated through SZABMU's official website. The council aims to expedite the admission process to minimize any further delays for students.
