UNITED KINGDOM: Antony Watson, a man from Bridlington, who was unable to secure  an NHS dentist, said he could not afford dental treatment privately. Mr Watson therefore, had to resort to DIY methods to self treat his dental issue.

According to the Mr Watson, his tooth had broken 20 years ago. H ehad gotten it treated and was crowned since, but had recently broken again, during eating.

He said he "definitely could not afford" to visit a private dental practice and had to therefore adopt a different strategy.

Two dental clinics have recently shut down in Bridlington, during the past three months. Therefore the town only as one NHS practice. The only NHS practice in town is not taking any new adult patients.

Mr Watson bought home a dentistry kit to solve his dental problem

"I picked the best one for me, which was probably one of the cheapest but also one of the easiest ones to do, and I thought yup, next-day delivery, I'll have that."

This dental kit consisted of a 20g bah of plastic beads

Mr Watson said that for his DIY dental kit "You boil a kettle, you put the beads into the water. The beads then go together and become soft and clear. You then shape it around your tooth and let it cool down. With the size of my tooth, it took five beads."

Hw used super glue to place the plastic beads in place, to fix the cracked crown that was bothering him
