Karachi: The Sindh Health Minister, Azra Pechuho has taken a gibe at the medical practitioners of Pakistan. She has urged the doctors to earn an honest living and not by any “Haram” means. The Young Doctors Association is not pleased by these remarks and have demanded an apology from the Health Minister.
Speaking to Medical News Pakistan, President YDA, Dr Mohsin says “The remarks made by the Health Minister, Dr Azra Pechuho has upset the doctors of the Young Doctors Association”. He reiterated that all the medical practitioners of the country work tirelessly day and night to provide their services to people. He has also said that the doctors have “risked their lives to deadly diseases”.
On behalf of YDA, Dr Mohsin says that the Sindh Health minister should take back her snide remarks on the doctors and offer an immediate apology for this comment.
In a press conference released since, YDA states that it strictly condemns the “incompetent and arrogant” attitude of Dr Azra Pechuho, under whom the Health department has become a hub of corruption in itself.
