Doctors Seek Strike Against The Lahore Police

FAISALABAD: In response to the violent behaviour of police against the protesting doctors in Lahore, the doctors of the Allied Hospital and the District Headquarters Hospital recently sought a strike. They protested against the Lahore police for making their colleagues suffer. They stopped doing their duties towards the patients and boycotted the Out Patient Departments (OPDs).

The protesters told the reporters that Punjab police severely torture the public at will. They further said that the doctors were peacefully raising their voice in Lahore when police baton-charged them and used the chemical spray.

The protesting doctors of Faisalabad demanded proper action against the police officers who issued orders for chemical spray and baton charging on doctors.
