In the last two years, when people were under the constant threat of deadly COVID-19, businesses too were forced to shut down and reconsider whether investments would provide the substantial value needed to satisfy customers and employees in both the short and longer term. However, despite the pandemic, Colgate-Palmolive achieved financial growth in 2021.

Noel Wallace, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Colgate Palmolive Company, said they had finished 2021 with a  strong growth momentum, particularly in their oral care and pet nutrition businesses, which accelerated net and organic sales growth in the year 2021 versus 2020. He said that Colgate Palmolive had delivered organic sales growth at or above their targeted range of 3 per cent to 5 per cent for three consecutive years, which gave them the confidence that their investments behind the strategic priorities were delivering sustainable, profitable growth.

Moreover, the Asia Pacific region contributed 16 per cent of the company's sales. Organic sales growth was led mainly by Indonesia, India and the Philippines from this region.

According to data available net sales in 2021 were $ 17,421 million, with a change of +6 per cent than 2020. The net sales in 2020 were $16,471 million. However, EPS declined 19 per cent to $2.55 million.

Colgate's leadership in manual toothbrushes continued with its global market share at 30.9 per cent year to date.
